A 30-Year-Old Trichy Man’s Heart Beats For 22-year-Old Chennai Youth Chennai, October 9th, 2023: A 22-year-old from Chennai got a new lease of life at Gleneagles Global Health City with a successful heart transplant from a brain-dead patient in Trichy. The Heart Transplant was performed under the Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme. The recipient was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Heart failure for over four years, and he has been on an organ registry waiting list since May 2023. The 5 hours transplant was performed on 13th September 2023 and the patient was discharged from Hospital with no major complications on October 2nd, 2023.  The Hospital gave a cheerful send off to the patient by cutting cake along with team of doctors who had performed the Heart Transplant. Coimbatore, September 25, 2023 – American Oncology Institute (AOI) Coimbatore saved a 50-year-old female suffering from post-menopausal bleeding and vaginal discharge . The patient was diagnosed with carcinoma vagina, classified as clinical stage FIGO II. Despite being a known diabetic, her medical history included no significant pain, and she had near-normal bowel and bladder habits. Upon examination, a palpable indurated growth involving the anterior wall of the upper and middle vagina was discovered. Subsequent biopsy results indicated moderate differentiated Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The PET-CT and additional blood investigations revealed soft tissue thickening involving the upper and mid-vagina, measuring 3.5cm in length and 1.5cm in thickness. However, there was no invasion into surrounding structures such as the bladder, urethra, or rectum, and lymph nodes were notably affected.
