Celebrating the vehemence of the Tamil language, Coke Studio Tamil drops its latest euphonic track ‘Tamizhi’

 

After the overwhelming success of Sagavaasi gaining over 21 million views within 2 weeks and Vendum the second song of the season crossing over 12 million views, Coke Studio Tamil released its 3rd song from Season 1 – ‘Tamizhi’ which is a beautiful dedication to the Tamil language. The song features music rapper/producer OfRo and musician Pushpavanam Kuppusamy in a novel avatar. The duo mirrors the soul of Tamil through an amalgamation of folk and hip-hop powered by a medley of traditional instruments like Kanjira, seamlessly paired with trumpet and Spanish handheld percussive instruments. 

Coke Studio recently launched Coke Studio Tamil Season 1, the platform brings together over 25 + celebrated and talented artists from across the state to create eight memorable tracks. The songs are bolstered by seasoned sounds of musical instruments that are symbolic of culture and tradition.

The latest song Tamizhi admires the eternal beauty of the Tamil language and talks about how it is an elixir full of pearly wisdom for the children of the land. The track is a proud declaration of what it truly means to be Tamil and the pure relationship that people share with the language.
